Stockist spotlight: Aosdana Iona
Aosdana, based on the tiny Scottish Isle of Iona is one of my most remote stockists. This year during my holiday on the neighbouring Island of Mull, I made the short ferry journey over to Iona to visit. Set in a beautifully restored farmhouse, the gallery sells work from a selection of top Scottish designers alongside their own traditional Celtic collections. The gallery space is a chic, pared back contemporary space balanced with the warmth and rich detail of wood and stone. These qualities reflect the curated selection of jewellery that bridges the gap from traditional to contemporary.
The Island is tiny, with just 150 residents and has a strong flow of tourists exploring the islands heritage and seeking its natural beauty.
For the Jewellery lover, Aosdana is worth a pilgrimmage in itself. The gallery stocks my work alongside a number of top Scottish makers, and their own collection made in house. They are open for the summer season, between April to October.
